About Eurovisiondle

Eurovisiondle is a free daily guessing game built around factual Eurovision Song Contest entry data. The puzzle changes at midnight UTC, and every player in the same mode receives the same entry for that day.

How do you play?

Search for a song, artist, country or year and submit an entry. You have six guesses. Each guess reveals comparisons for year, country, decade, final place, points, language, qualification and result band. Green means an exact match; yellow gives a directional or partial clue; dark means no match. The answer appears after you win or use all six guesses.

What is Hard Mode?

Normal Mode uses a curated pool of finalists. Hard Mode uses a separate, broader pool with final and semi-final entries from 1956 onward. Each mode has its own daily puzzle and archive. Switching modes does not replace the other mode's saved round.

How is the daily entry chosen?

The app uses the UTC date and a deterministic selection from its local entry data. This keeps a given day's puzzle consistent for everyone and preserves previously published answers when the dataset grows. The current answer is hidden in the game interface until the round ends.

Where does the entry data come from?

The game uses factual metadata such as song title, artist, country, year, placement and points. The curated finalist data was assembled from public Wikipedia contest and entry pages. The larger Hard Mode pool is derived from the public EurovisionAPI dataset, which documents its own upstream sources. Wikipedia's contest overview is a starting point for checking individual years and entries.

Source records can differ or change. The game is maintained under ninko.dev and does not use audio, video clips or official visual assets.
